Once the staff member has completed all the required checks by HR, IT will be automatically notified—approximately 24 hours later—with the new staff member’s name, service, and line manager details.
Upon receiving this information, IT will proceed to create the staff member’s SAMH email address.
If any equipment is required, please raise a support ticket to ITSupport@samh.org.uk, including the service's cost centre. A requisition request will then be submitted to the line manager for approval. Once approved, IT will place the order for the laptop. Please note that delivery from the supplier may take up to four weeks.

For Access Care Planning - accesscareplanning@samh.org.uk (including issues with the mobile application)
If the staff member requires a mobile phone and a work number, please email facilities@samh.org.uk for this to be arranged.
Once the staff member’s account has been set up by IT, their login details will be sent to their line manager via text message.
For security purposes, IT will contact the service manager to request the new staff member’s mobile number. This is required to complete the initial authentication setup for their Microsoft account.
Please note: Once the new staff member has received their mobile phone, please follow the setup guide available [here]. After the device has been registered to the staff member, inform IT of the assigned mobile number so we can update their account accordingly.
